Navigating the Teenage Social Scene Just Got Easier.
The teenage years are a whirlwind of discovery, growth, and, let’s be honest, a whole lot of social navigation. From deciphering friendship drama to exploring first crushes and setting boundaries, teens today face unique pressures in an ever-connected world. That’s why we are so excited to announce our newest offering at Psychology Partners Group: Building Healthy Relationships for Teens.
This isn’t just another group; it’s a dynamic, psychoeducational peer support experience designed specifically for high schoolers. We’re creating a safe, understanding space where teens can gain the skills and confidence to build healthier relationships with friends, partners, and—most importantly—themselves.
The Power of Connection: Why This Group Matters
Modern teen life is brimming with opportunities for connection, yet it can often feel more isolating than ever. Social media, academic pressures, and the natural ups and downs of adolescence can make even simple interactions feel complex. Our group aims to:
- Demystify Friendships: Learn how to identify healthy vs. unhealthy dynamics, manage conflict, and build lasting, supportive friendships.
- Navigate Romantic Relationships: Explore the foundations of respectful dating, clear communication, and identifying “red flags” and “green flags.”
- Master Boundary Setting: Develop the confidence to communicate needs, protect personal space, and say “no” without guilt.
- Build Self-Worth: Understand how healthy relationships contribute to self-esteem and overall well-being.
- Find Your Tribe: Connect with peers who understand what you’re going through in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Meet Your Dream Team Facilitators!
What makes this group truly special is our unique co-facilitation model, blending professional psychological expertise with authentic peer perspective.

Lucy Von Lahndorff – Teen Intern & Peer Facilitator
Lucy is a senior at Yorktown High School with a deep-seated passion for psychology and a future career as a clinical psychologist. She brings a unique perspective to our group, fueled by her belief in being “the good she wishes to see in the world.” Beyond the classroom, Lucy has dedicated over 360 hours to working with rescue dogs, helping them socialize and find forever homes. This experience taught her that whether you are a human or an animal, everyone needs patience, care, and understanding to thrive. Lucy is eager to translate that same compassion into her work with peers, helping them navigate challenges and become the best versions of themselves.
