Why a Relationship Support Group?
The teenage years are a critical time for social development, yet navigating these waters can feel isolating. Our group offers a blend of professional psychological insight and peer-to-peer relatability to help teens thrive.
- Navigating Friendships: Learn how to identify healthy vs. unhealthy dynamics and manage the “drama” of social circles with maturity.
- Romantic Foundations: Explore the basics of healthy dating, including mutual respect, consent, and identifying “red flags.”
- Mastering Boundaries: Gain practical skills for saying “no,” protecting personal space, and honoring individual needs without guilt.
- Peer Connection: Facilitated in part by a teen intern, this group ensures the conversation remains relevant, authentic, and grounded in the actual experiences of today’s youth.

Meet The Facilitator
Dr. Megan Sedita is a clinical psychologist dedicated to creating a warm, genuine, and compassionate space for growth. With extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), she specializes in helping adolescents build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and navigate complex emotional landscapes. Dr. Sedita views therapy as a collaborative partnership, ensuring every teen feels heard and supported as they work toward healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Meet The Peer Facilitator
Lucy Von Lahndorff is a senior at Yorktown High School with a deep-seated passion for psychology and a future career as a clinical psychologist. She brings a unique perspective to our group, fueled by her belief in being “the good she wishes to see in the world.” Beyond the classroom, Lucy has dedicated over 360 hours to working with rescue dogs, helping them socialize and find forever homes. This experience taught her that whether you are a human or an animal, everyone needs patience, care, and understanding to thrive. Lucy is eager to translate that same compassion into her work with peers, helping them navigate challenges and become the best versions of themselves.
