Marissa Caldarola is deeply committed to empowering individuals by honoring their unique experiences and strengths. With a strong belief in the transformative power of self determination, Marissa recognizes that each person is the expert and decision-maker in their own life. Her approach is collaborative and honest, and emphasizes building a trusting relationship between therapist and client with the goal of providing inclusive, non-judgemental care that respects the dignity and autonomy of every individual. She believes that through empowerment and connection, individuals can build resilience and skills to better navigate through life’s difficulties and challenges.

Marissa received her master’s degree in social work from California State University of Long Beach and her undergraduate degree from Manhattan College where she majored in psychology. Since receiving her masters degree, Marissa has 7 years experience working with middle and high school aged youth and their families in several different school districts across Westchester County. She also has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital, Student Assistance Services Corporation, and Long Beach Community College. Much of her clinical work has focused on substance use prevention and intervention, anxiety, depression, trauma, family and relationship challenges, behavioral concerns, stress management, and developing effective coping skills to promote resilience.
