Founder & Clinical Director
A message from our founder — on why Psychology Partners Group exists, and the philosophy of partnership at its core.
In 2016, I reached a turning point in my career. At the time, I was working as an individual therapist, and I found myself constantly hitting the same wall: I was referring people out.
If I was working with an adult who needed couples therapy, I'd send them elsewhere. If a couple's child needed support, I'd give them the name of someone I might not even know personally. Even when I did know the clinician, our approaches didn't always align. We couldn't find the time to talk, and the "cohesion" I knew my clients deserved just wasn't there. I missed the rigor and the shared energy I had experienced during my residency and internship training — that "group brain" where experts actually talk to one another.
So I decided to build the practice I was looking for.
I started with a single clinician in a one-room office. Today, we’ve grown into a team of more than a dozen specialists across two locations in Chappaqua and Hartsdale—and, of course, telehealth. As we listened to what our families actually needed, we organically grew from offering individual and couples therapy into a true one-stop care community.
We’ve expanded to provide dedicated family, child, and adolescent therapy, group sessions, and psychoeducational workshops, alongside comprehensive neuropsychological assessment services. We’ve also built a preeminent outpatient center for eating disorder treatment. We are deeply proud to bring this complete ecosystem of specialized care to Central and Northern Westchester and beyond, ensuring our clients never have to fragment their healing journey to get the specialized support they deserve. But as much as we’ve expanded, the core of why we do this hasn’t changed.
The word "Partners" isn't just a business term.
It's a philosophy that shows up in four distinct ways.
In our Leadership
It's the partnership I share with Dr. Eva Leighton, our CFO, and Dr. Melissa Klay, our Art Therapy Director — longtime friends and professionals with complementary skill sets and a shared passion for the work we do and the team we lead.
In our Team
Our clinicians are never in "silos." We share tools, we expand each other's insights, and we constantly collaborate to improve your outcomes.
In our Community
We partner with the schools, doctors, and professionals who support your family outside our doors, ensuring that your progress in our offices translates into support in your daily life.
With You
Most importantly, we are partners in your grow
Neither silos nor ivory towers.
When you walk into our offices, I want you to feel like you've found the "pros" you've been looking for — but I also want you to feel like you've found humans who get it. We are people with a wide range of life experiences, and we don't believe anyone is helped by a "judicious opinion." People are helped by empathy and understanding. We never judge the people who walk through our doors, just as we endeavor not to judge ourselves.
We also believe in the power of a little bit of humor. Because we work so closely together, our team is incredibly warm. We share a lot of laughter, and we bring that warmth into our work. Therapy is a creative endeavor, and at the heart of creativity is play and warmth.
