Workshops & Seminars

What are PPG Workshops?

Workshops are different from therapy. The focus is on learning and practicing skills, not on discussing personal history in a group. Each workshop is led by a trained clinician and combines presentations, demonstrations, and exercises.

Workshops can be taken on their own or alongside couples therapy. Many people find that a shared framework and practice time give them tools they can use right away.

FAQ

Common questions

What is a PPG workshop?

A workshop is a short, structured program led by a licensed clinician that teaches practical skills in a group setting. The focus is on learning and practice, not on personal therapy.

How are workshops different from therapy?

Therapy is individualized work with a clinician on your own concerns. Workshops teach a set curriculum to a group and do not involve discussing personal history. You do not need to be in therapy to attend, and workshops can also be taken alongside therapy.

Will I have to share personal information in a couples workshop?

No. Discussion is collaborative, but exercises are completed privately with your partner. No one is required to share personal issues with the group.

Which workshop is right for us?

The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work suits couples who want to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and manage conflict. Bringing Baby Home suits couples who are expecting or have a baby up to one year old. If you are not sure, a free consultation can help you decide.

Are workshops offered in person or online?

Formats include in-person and virtual options. Each workshop page lists the format and details.

Is a couples workshop appropriate when there is domestic violence?

Couples workshops are not recommended when there is ongoing physical abuse or coercive control. If this is a concern, contact us, and we can help connect you with appropriate resources and individual support.

How do I register?

Use the "Learn More and Register" button on each workshop page. If you have questions first, you can contact us or schedule a free consultation.
