Dr. Kaitlin Carson is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and psychological evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults. She evaluates developmental, emotional, neurodevelopmental, and medical conditions, and she works to turn test results into a clear plan. For families, that usually means a diagnosis they can trust and specific recommendations for school services, accommodations, and treatment.
Her training in academic medical centers across neurology, psychiatry, and education taught her to bring together information from several clinical perspectives. Dr. Carson earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in neuropsychology, from Queens College and The Graduate Center (CUNY), and a master’s degree in counseling and clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in neuropsychology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her additional training across the lifespan took place at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Westchester, the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at Columbia University Medical Center, and Yale New Haven Health.
Dr. Carson pays close attention to culture and background in her work, and she tailors each evaluation to the individual and family in front of her.
