Dr. Lily Brown is a postdoctoral resident in clinical psychology who is deeply committed to providing evidence-based treatment with a warm, flexible, and collaborative approach. Grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor treatment to each client. Dr. Brown believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and she works closely with clients to develop an individualized approach that honors their unique goals, values, and lived experiences.
Dr. Brown earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maine. She completed her predoctoral internship at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, where she received specialized training in the assessment and treatment of PTSD and trauma-related disorders. Her work at the VA also included treating individuals experiencing significant anxiety, depression, and emotion dysregulation across residential and outpatient settings.
Dr. Brown has additionally trained across a range of clinical settings, including university counseling, primary care, and neuropsychological assessment. She has provided therapy to individuals from late adolescence through older adulthood navigating trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment concerns and life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. Dr. Brown strives to create a space grounded in curiosity and nonjudgment, where clients can develop a deeper understanding of themselves while building practical skills for meaningful change.
