Explore, Reflect, & Create Our monthly studio series offers a themed workshop environment for self-expression and insight. Each session blends guided art activities with topical education and intentional discussion. This is an open, informal space designed to help you integrate new perspectives and recharge your creative spirit without the commitment of a weekly therapy group.
Best For: Those looking for a standalone creative workshop or a low-pressure mental health “refresh.”

Meet the Facilitator:
Dr. Melissa Klay is a licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified art therapist with over 25 years of experience bridging the worlds of clinical science and creative expression. As the Director of Art Therapy at Psychology Partners Group and an Associate Professor at Pratt Institute, Melissa brings a rare depth of expertise to her groups, blending evidence-based psychological tools with the transformative power of art-making.
Whether facilitating a clinical therapy group or a creative studio workshop, Melissa’s approach is rooted in warmth, collaboration, and the belief that creativity is a vital tool for insight. Her work is informed by her extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Depth Psychology, allowing her to offer participants a balance of practical coping skills and meaningful self-discovery. Melissa creates a safe, low-pressure environment where women can explore their inner lives, master new mediums, and find balance through the simple act of creating.
