About the Group
Divorce and separation can bring a wide range of experiences, from grief and anger to relief, along with practical questions about family, identity, and the future. The Separation and Divorce Support Group is a confidential group for adults going through this kind of change. It offers a place to process your experiences and to hear from others in similar situations.
What the Group Covers
- Stages of grief. Ending a relationship can bring its own kind of loss. The group explores these stages and the emotions that come with them.
- Co-parenting strategies. For parents, separation means changing the relationship while continuing to raise children together. The group discusses tools and approaches for healthy co-parenting.
- Repair and rebuild. Beyond the identity of partner, who are you now? This topic focuses on self-discovery, healing, and rebuilding with intention.
- Legal considerations. The group does not provide legal advice, but it creates space to discuss common legal questions and to better understand the process.
- Dating after divorce. When and how to re-enter the dating world, including common feelings, challenges, and healthy approaches to new relationships.
Learn More and Enroll
The group meets weekly, in person in Chappaqua with a live online option, and is led by Jessica Duffy, LCSW. Enrollment is ongoing, and the group page has the current details.
